Saint John's Episcopal Church in Park Slope, Brooklyn
Diverse and Inclusive Worship and Service for over 180 Years

Whether you are new to the area, visiting from out of town, or just visiting us in cyberspace, we are glad that you found us here at St. John's! We hope that you will take a few moments to get to know us better and, if possible, come to visit and worship with us sometime soon!

We are perhaps the most diverse congregation in the Diocese of Long Island -- and quite proud to be! We count among our membership people from all over the world and all over the country. We are black, brown, white and all sorts of shades in between! We are old and young, gay and straight, economically well off and also poor. But we are all rich in spirit as we worship God and serve the world in Christ's name. Click Meet Our People to the left to meet some of us!

Our parish was founded in 1826-7 and we just celebrated our 175 Anniversary! Click the botton to the left to read our Parish History to see how we became the parish we are today.  Our church is in English Country Style with a beautiful Garden and some lovely Stained Glass Windows.

We hope you will visit us in Park Slope! To locate us on a map and see directions click the button on the left for Directions and a Map. To see service times and office hours click the Worship button on the left.

You will find a warm welcome here at St. John's and we invite you to participate fully in our life of worship and service.

Our Parish Mission Statement is taken from the Book of Common Prayer Catechism: To restore all people to unity with God and each other through Christ.   An awsome task assigned to us by Jesus and His Church. We could use your help in fulfilling it!
